More computer innovation in the next 18 months that the entire history of computing to date.
We have the ability to store mass amounts of data, but our analytical capability is not keeping up.
Technologies that will change how we compute
- Sensors
- MEMS
- Displays
- Surface Computing
Processing power is trending in ways that will surpass human cognition, and we need new and more natural ways of interfacing with our computational and storage infrastructure.
Surface Computing: Great example of future HCI (human computer interaction) — where is the keyboard and mouse? Remember, there was a time before the keyboard and mouse? There will be a time soon after the keyboard and mouse?
